The Tajweed Quran course is designed to guide students in reciting the Holy Quran with proper pronunciation, rhythm, and clarity according to traditional rules established by Quranic scholars. Through personalized 1-on-1 sessions, students learn the correct articulation points (Makharij) of Arabic letters, rules of elongation (Madd), stop signs (Waqf), and nasalization (Ghunnah). Our experienced tutors ensure that every rule is practically applied during live recitation practice.

What will I learn in Module 1?

You will learn the foundational phonetics of Arabic letters, focusing on the exact articulation points (Makharij) of the throat, tongue, and lips. This module ensures you can distinguish between similar-sounding letters (e.g., ح vs. هـ, ق vs. ك) to prevent major errors (Lahn Jali) in Quranic recitation.

What concepts are covered in Module 2?

This module covers the core Tajweed rules governing silent letters and nasalization:

Izhar: Clear pronunciation without nasalization.
Idgham: Merging letters with or without nasal sound (Ghunnah).
Iqlab: Changing the sound of Nun Sakinah to Meem.
Ikhfa: Concealing the sound with a gentle nasal tone.
Meem Sakinah Rules: Ikhfa Shafawi, Idgham Shafawi, and Izhar Shafawi.

How does Module 3 help improve my recitation melody and rhythm?

Module 3 focuses on the timing and duration of sounds (Madd), teaching you when to elongate vowels for 2, 4, 5, or 6 counts. It also covers the characteristics of letters (Sifat), including heavy (Tafkheem) vs. light (Tarqeeq) sound rules for letters like ر (Raa) and ل (Lam in Allah’s name).

What is the practical application taught in Module 4?

Module 4 prepares you for continuous, natural Quran reading. You will learn the symbols and rules of stopping (Waqf) and starting (Ibtida), how to handle silent letters, and how to maintain proper breath control. The module concludes with live 1-on-1 supervised recitation across selected Surahs to ensure complete mastery.
